Founded in 2013 and established as a charity in 2017, Restore the Music has delivered over £2.75 million worth of instruments and resources to 150 schools, positively impacting more than 150,000 young people. Their mission is simple yet powerful: to unlock musical potential by funding music departments in schools facing social and economic challenges.

At Ark Evelyn Grace academy the funding will be used to:

  • Purchase a wide range of new instruments,
  • Expand inclusive music ensembles,
  • Support Key Stage 4 students working towards music qualifications.

Restore the Music’s bespoke approach ensures that schools receive instruments and equipment that reflect students’ cultural backgrounds and musical interests—making music more accessible, relevant, and inspiring.

Mr Blair, Assistant Principal and Head of Music at Evelyn Grace, expressed his excitement:

“I am truly delighted that we have been awarded the £20,000 Restore the Music grant. It really will be transformative for our students and the music provision at the school. I’m excited to provide our students with new performance opportunities. Long may Restore the Music continue!”

This grant is the beginning of a three-year journey of growth and impact. With access to professional-quality instruments and new opportunities for collaboration and performance, our students will be empowered to explore their creativity and build valuable life skills.
