When you step through the doors of our academy, you’re entering more than just a school—you’re experiencing an architectural icon designed to inspire ambition and creativity.
Our building was designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, one of the world’s most celebrated architectural firms, and is widely recognised as a masterpiece of modern design. Completed in 2010, the structure reflects Hadid’s signature style: bold lines, dynamic forms, and a sense of movement that mirrors the energy of learning and growth.
This visionary approach earned the building the prestigious RIBA Stirling Prize for Architecture, making it a landmark not only in education but in the architectural history of Brixton.
The building’s striking zig-zag shape is a nod to the "Z" of Zaha Hadid and is not just visually impressive—it was created with purpose. The design maximises natural light and creates open, flowing spaces that encourage collaboration and community. Every detail, from the sweeping corridors to the innovative use of glass and steel, was conceived to provide an environment where students feel inspired and supported.
No matter the weather, our school is flooded with natural light and from the upper floors, you have views of the surrounding area and onto Central London.
Our top class facilities include 5 lane running track, FA approved 3G pitch, Dance Studio, Sensory Garden and more.
