Curriculum

At Ark Evelyn Grace Academy, we take special pride in our curriculum. Our first priority is to build a foundation in literacy and numeracy, as this provides a gateway to all other learning. Students should be able to read, write and work with numbers fluently and confidently. Our curriculum focuses heavily on building these foundations.

For the first three years, students follow a broad and challenging academic programme. As it is essential that all our students leave the Academy with a mastery of English and Mathematics, we offer an increased timetable in these areas. This ensures students are able to achieve a wider breadth of success at Key Stage 4 (Years 10 and 11).

As students move into Key Stage 4, all follow individualised pathways that typically lead to between 8 and 10 GCSEs. Students may also study high quality vocational subjects (BTEC or Cambridge Nationals).
