My Child at School and Show My Homework
My Child at School (MCAS)
As a school, we are always looking for ways to improve our offer to our parents and carers. We want to be able to communicate when students have done really well and also give you more clarity with what has happened where a student may have not met our expectations.
MCAS is a portal that allows parents and carers to monitor their child's academic performance and progress in real-time via a web browser or app. This facility allows exclusive access to the child's attendance, timetable, behaviour and published reports & letters. The portal also provides general useful information about the academy such as the academic calendar and announcements.
In summary, MyChildAtSchool provides:
- Access to real-time Attendance and Behavioural data
- Communication facilities to improve contact between parents and carers and Ark Evelyn Grace Academy
- Instant access to published reports and letters
This is accessible via most devices including mobile phones, tablets or PCs.
MCAS provides parents with access to view what their child has done well and also the specific reasons for any detentions.
Show My Homework (SMHK)
We have been using Show My Homework as our online platform for students to submit all their work from their lessons daily. Show My Homework will allow parents and carers to see the details of tasks their child has been set, all their deadlines and their submission status and grades.
This system allows us to communicate with parents and carers and give greater visibility into the work that is set daily and when student submit their work.
Students' To-Do List is visible to parents and carers and any classwork or homework that is overdue.
Show My homework comes with great qualities, such as;
- 24/7 access to view quality and quantity of homework
- Translation into over 50 languages
- Apps available for iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch and Android devices
- Receive automated notifications before homework and classwork is due
Parents and carers can also receive notifications of grades, overdue homework and announcements/events.
We know that by parents and carers having the notifications set up it provides you with a deeper insight into the work your child receives. More importantly, we hope that it will improve students' organisation, time-management and help them to keep on top of their workload.
If studentds are having issues with logging in then please watch the video on our YouTube channel: Student Login Guide.
