Our system was created to help us celebrate the diversity of our students and staff that make up our school community. It will give us an opportunity to put into action our mottos and values in our everyday activity or our whole school events.
At EGA, students are separated into four houses; Ashby, Brockwell. Effra and Windrush.
Students, once they are sorted into these houses compete with one another to earn points. This will be through academics, sports and overcoming adversity. Points earned will be used to decide who wins the House Cup at the end of the school year; winners will be announced during end of term school assembly.

•January 18th is apparently dubbed as ‘Blue Monday’ for being the ‘saddest’ day in the year, with dark nights, the cold, failed resolutions…
•Let’s use that day and week as a way to support and champion each other during this period.
•Touch base with one another and give thanks or an act of kindness to enjoy during the week.
The Lockdown Awards

Heros of the Week - Video Shout Outs
We would like to acknowledge all of the amazing things that our colleagues do on a daily basis, and share our gratitude for one another while we're all working apart. Therefore we are going to celebrate 5 Heroes of the Week each week, and we need you!
What To Do:
•Record a 10 –20 second video to nominate a member of staff who you would like to acknowledge for something they have done, or something they continue to do during that week. Reasons can be personal, professional, related to online learning or any other awesomeness that you feel is worthy of celebration.
•The video can be recorded on any device, preferably on your school laptop via in any video format. A tutorial video on how to do this will be sent to staff on request.
•Email your video to firstname.lastname@example.org by 3pm on Thursday.
