Tribute to Mr Savill - Beloved teacher and colleague

Wednesday 24 April 2019

It is with great sadness that we annouce the tragic death of one of our teachers - Mr Toby Savill.

On Sunday 14th April 2019, Mr Savill and his wife Milly, were killed in a road accident whilst holidaying on the Greek island of Santorini.

Everyone here at Ark Evelyn Grace Academy is deeply saddened by the huge loss.

Toby joined our school in September 2018 as a newly qualified teacher of history and quickly established himself as a very dedicated and passionate educator. His enthusiasm was infectious. He had a very strong relationship with his students and was extremly well-respected by his fellow staff members.

All our students have attended assemblies led by the Principal. Students have been writing their condolences and the community as a whole is now planning the memorial service for later on this term.

Our thoughts and prayers are with both Toby and Milly's families, staff and students at St Anne's Catholic primary school and all who loved them.

He will be greatly missed by one and all.
