EGA Students alongside musicians and creative artists have joined the Mayor of London to launch a campaign called 'London needs you alive' #LNYA

A handful of our Year 10 students took part in a photography workshop at Photofusion in Brixton, the workshop explored different themes of identity and why young people should be valued. Students got to create photographic portraits of each other and then decorate them in ways which represented their personalities.

The 'London needs you alive' campaign launched by Mayor Sadiq Khan is aimed at highlighting a positive message about how valuable young Londoners are to the city as well as their family and friends. The campaign includes an online video and a toolkit for schools and is being backed by a number of influncers.

“They are our future musicians, artists, sportsmen and women, comedians, scientists, politicians, entrepreneurs and role models. We need them.” - Sadiq Khan

We are proud to have had our students involved in making history and helping the Mayor launch this campaign.
