2019 A-Level and BTEC results success for our students

EGA is celebrating some excellent A level and BTEC results, as so many students have secured the grades needed to read their chosen subjects at University or begin their careers with competitive apprenticeships.

Ark Evelyn Grace Academy Principal, Tim Dainty said: “I am immensely proud of what has been achieved this year. It is fantastic to see both our students’ and teachers’ hard work and endeavour pay off on results day. Our drive for excellence has helped our students secure some strong results that enable them to go on and take the next step to university.”

Among Ark Evelyn Grace’s strongest performers in this year’s A-Level and BTEC results were:

Denzel Nebuwa - IT Professional Pathway

Achieved: DDD (Distinction

“I would like to personally thank all the staff and the class of 2019 at Evelyn Grace Academy. I was really shocked receiving the grades today, which I will continue to inspire younger generation. My experience at Evelyn Grace Academy has been excellent and enrichment programs have been very helpful enabling me to know the various career paths we can take after sixth form. My course was very long and challenging and I believe that hard work and dedication really pays off! I would like to thank everyone of you and I will miss you.”

Hibo Yusuf - Biology, Chemistry and Maths

Achieved Grades: A*, A, A

“I had three university offers and have decided on Queen Mary and hopefully will get three A to secure a place. I did work experience in a neurology department and the intensive care unit and the work with the brain. It ignited my interest in medicine. I want to make my family proud as they have always wanted the best for me and encouraged me to do something that I will love. I am from Somalia and was brought up in Brixton. When I visited Somalia, I felt like I wanted to give back and so tutored some younger kids. I could not imagine achieving what I have if I had gone to another school.”

Ikran Weheliye - Biology, Chemistry and Maths

“I always wanted to study medicine and I decided to study biology and chemistry as I knew that these subjects would help me along my pathway to become a doctor. I have been a student at EGA for 7 years and I am proud to have achieved the grades I need to go on to study medicine at Kings College. I am thankful for all of the support that my teachers and peers have given me throughout my schooling. ”

Hugo Pestana- Marques - IT Professional Pathway

I’m extremely thankful for everything EGA has done to help me reach this point and one thing I’d recommend for future students will be to always trust your teachers!’
