Last day of Term - Friday 31st March 2017, please note students will be dismissed at 12:10pm. Easter Half Term Break commences 01st April 2017 - 17th April 2017.
Staff Inset Day - Tuesday 18th April 2017, The school will be closed to all students. School resumes as normal Wednesday 19th April 2017, 8:20am.
Reminder: Please sign Student Planners! One of the easiest ways of keeping in touch with your child’s progress is to make sure that you have signed their planner. You can leave notes in the planner if you wish to communicate with your child’s tutor or subject teachers and keep an eye on how much homework is being set.
We monitor our student’s planners every week and, when we see your signature, we know that we are supporting each other with your child’s education.
Welcome to the Parent Teacher Association at Evelyn Grace Academy
Reminder - The next PTA meeting will be held, Wednesday 22 March 2017. All are welcome to attend.
We are a group of parents and staff whose collective aim is to assist with fundraising to help advance the education of students at Evelyn Grace Academy through the PTA.
We also hold an informal Parents’ Forum that extends the relationship between your child, teachers and other parents: facilitating discussions and feedback on educational and organisational matters at the school.
We would like to encourage all parents/carers to take part as you will have an excellent opportunity to influence fundraising objectives and activities, and provide input on other school matters that collectively affect our children. We are a relatively young group and you would be warmly welcomed as a member.
All parents and staff are automatically members of the PTA and can get involved even if they only have a small amount of time available. Whatever you are able to offer, the school will benefit from your time and you will have the opportunity to become more involved in school life.
We hold meetings each half term, which take place on a Wednesday evenings at 6.30pm in the Library and last about an hour.
PTA Fundraising activities to date have included: Cake Sales; Refreshment sales at school events such as concerts, sports day etc; The Giving Machine - online shopping; Clothes recycling and Raffles etc
Last year we raised money for:
- Trophies for our Literacy Festival
- A contribution towards the Year 11 Prom
At the Parents’ Forum we have discussed:
- After school activities
- School Rules
- Community involvement in the school
- Pastoral Care
- Communication with parents
- School website
- Adult Learning
