Year 12 visit Jesus College, Oxford
Earlier this month, our Year 12 students visited Jesus College, Oxford as part of our ongoing Enrichment Programme.
Our Year 12's learned a great deal about the University, the admissions process and the academic grades required to study at the best university in the country – and one of the best in the world.
They all took part in an undergraduate lectures and seminars, learning about Black Holes and discussing the concepts of language. Our students had lunch in the beautiful Dining Hall in Jesus College, had a tour around Oxford and also visited Merton College.
Further to this, they were given some insightful tips into their personal statements. Overall, it was a very interesting and stimulating experience. One of our students was heard to remark, ‘If I work hard, then I am sure that I can achieve the grades to be accepted at this university.’
Dr Matthew Williams, a lecturer in PPE at Oxford commented that, ‘It was my great pleasure working with you and your students. They're a great bunch with oodles of potential.’
