This year's Prize Giving ceremony took place on Thursday 24th November 2016; and as always the ceremony was a great success, celebrating academic achievement within the academy. The atmosphere was vibrant and full of cheers of joy from Parents/Carers, family and friends, staff and our school governorers, who all came in their numbers to celebrate the amazing achivements of our students this year. It truly was a lovely show of support!
“This year was a big celebration! We had so many successes in KS4 and it was a joy to see that many of our students were inspired by the incredible achievements in our GCSE results”

We had amazing performances from Sarah Parke (Year 11), Issac Zumbu (Year 8), Abiib Nur (Year 8), Assa Benmeriem (Year 8) and a snippet performance from our High School Musical production performed by our students under the guidance of Ms Hurst.
Mr Devon Hanson (Principal) and Mr Richard De Friend (Chair Governor) both spoke of their immense pride in our students and in the great progress we have made as an academy in the past year. It truly was a spectacular evening.
“The total joy and pride felt from both Parents and Carers about their children being recognised for all the hard work that they have put in within the curriculum. The overwhelming sense of achievement within all students who came forward to receive recognition from different departments showing that their efforts never go unnoticed.”

“Prize giving this year was particularly special as were able to celebrate the fantastic achievements of last academic year’s first ever Year 13 cohort; it was wonderful to welcome back some of these students who are now working hard at University and hear how much they are enjoying their studies. All of these students deserve to be celebrated and it was great to see that Mubarak Tairu made it back just in time to receive the Outstanding Achievement Award for his A*AB results this summer. It was also important for our current Key stage 5 students to be recognised for the superb contributions that they have made so far to our academy and be reminded of what they also hope to achieve this summer. Our very own Year 12 students Farha Amirpur and Jessica Pereria Rodrigues also picked up the Outstanding Achievement Award for their record breaking GCSE results!”
