Laura Mvula plays the Celviano Grand Hybrid Piano with students at EGA

To celebrate the launch of Casio’s “Action in Music” initiative, which supports the search for Classic FM’s Music Teacher of the Year Award, former music teacher Laura Mvula plays the Celviano Grand Hybrid Piano with students, here at Ark Evelyn Grace Academy, Monday 26th September 2016.

We at Evelyn Grace Academy are extremly proud of Ms J.Hurst and all the staff who work with our students on a daily basis within our music department. They continue to inspire our young people to achieve great things through music. We are also proud of the work our students have and continue to achieve through music. It is an honour to be recoginised for this and a privilege to work alongside Laura Mvula (Who holds a special place with the school), Classic FM, ABRSM and Chris Stanbury at Casio to appreciate Music teachers and introduce the new Celviano Grand Hybrid Piano.

This process has been a wonderful experience and it was lovely to meet and work alongside Laura Mvula, Classic FM, ABRSM and Casio on this project. We are also happy to annouce Chris Stanbury and his team at Casio have donated the Celviano Grand Hybrid Piano to the school, to which we are excited to give our students the very best experience when learning to play the piano.

"We are really pleased to donate this fantastic grand hybrid piano to the school. We are all about education and giving the best start to students lives. So many students we haev spoken to love the piano and want to play on the piano and with this one they get the very best of both worlds".
Chris Stanbury, Casio
